Yubaba- caring, family like, helpful,
Akio- caring, mature, protective, irresponsible, kind

Older characters are presented as helpful in spirited away. They have a family like sense about them and they are there to help the protagonist. Their role in the film is to guide the main characters in the film thanks to their knowledge and because they are wise.
